Teaching Experience
These field experiences were conducted through the Monarch Teach program at ODU. I have visit , Blair Middle School, and Maury High School; all in Norfolk, Virginia. Having the opportunity to observe and participate in educational courses from all grade levels has given me a great variety of skills and knowledge to bring to my future endeavors.

Maury High School
I visited Maury High School in Fall '22 where I observed and gave lessons to Dr. Hing's mixed grade Astronomy class. I taught two lessons. One on historical astronomers and another on telescopes and a quick review.

James Blair Middle School
I visited Blair Middle School in Spring '22 to observe and teach Mrs. Parker's eighth grade Environmental Science class. I taught two lessons; one on Biodiversity and one on Populations (in the Chesapeake Bay). This class consisted of only four students!

Larchmont Elementary
I "visited" Larchmont Elementary in Spring '21 where I observed and conducted one lesson about the water cycle to Mrs. Tunstall's third grade class. This experience happened during COVID-19, so everything was done virtually. Challenges arose due to this, but I became a stronger teacher because of it.

Substitute Teaching
Virginia Beach City Public Schools
As of June 2022, I have been substituting for VBCPS. Most recently, I have been requested to be a site assigned substitute for my former high school, Landstown! I am thrilled to be back in the Eagle's nest doing what I love.
